Dynamics of 1‐D Electron Motion with Radiation Reaction Effect under a Periodic Electric Field

Using the formulation of novel radiation reaction force as a function of the external force expression, we consider the 1D motion of an electron under a periodic force and account for the effect of radiation reaction dissipation force on its motion. A simple sinusoidal time-dependent force and a sinusoidal electromagnetic force with position and time dependence are also considered. The aim of looking into these cases is to figure out how to conduct an experimental study to see if this innovative approach to the radiation reaction force is true. We discovered that the discrepancy between normalised (with respect to the speed of light) velocities with and without radiation reaction is very small for intensities on the electric field of 10(-8) to 1 Dynes/ues, which may pose some difficulty in measuring experimentally.
