Maternal Factors and Perinatal Outcome of Preterm Birth: A Prospective Study

June 23, 2022 Medical Science 0

This study’s objective is to examine the distribution of preterm birth risk variables in a Gujarati tertiary centre as well as the burden and results of preterm births there. Preterm birth rates are substantially greater among women in advanced maternal age than among women of adult ages. 100 women who had preterm labour or had already given birth early were included in the study. A medical history, physical examination, and ultrasound were used to evaluate them. Corticosteroids were administered to each patient. The researchers examined perinatal outcomes through discharge, obstetric outcomes, and maternal risk factors. Specialized prenatal programmes for anaemia, malnutrition, infection, and high-order pregnancy can prevent, detect, and treat preterm delivery.
