Recent Study on Failure Diagnosis and Prognosis of Sliding Bearings

Sliding bearings are commonly used machine elements whose proper operation is dependent on the availability of many technological systems, and the analysis of the prediction method for sliding bearings receives a lot of attention. High levels of vibration and noise are caused by problems with sliding bearings. The thermal analysis is a critical parameter in the diagnosis and prediction of sliding bearing failure. Vibration spectrum analysis, oil film thickness, and other related parameters are often used in addition to these. It is possible to substantially reduce measurement time while increasing the precision of diagnostic methods by using advanced technologies. A mathematically formalised mode of representation for modelling ambiguity is fuzzy logic. In this paper, a selection of damage in the operation of a sliding bearing is made, and the method for diagnosing these issues is demonstrated. Sliding bearing damage can be detected early using methods that combine multiple diagnostic parameters into one.
