Evaluating the Antimicrobial Activities and Phytochemical screening of the Leaf Extract of Mitracarpus scaber

The goal of this study is to determine the antimicrobial properties of Mitracarpus scaber leaf extract. The findings show that it inhibits Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus vulgaris, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Trychophyton mentagraphytes at various concentrations. During the phytochemical screening, secondary metabolites such as steroids, reducing sugars, alkaloids, tannins, tepenoids, saponins, cardiac glycosides, and general…

Study on Syntheses and Antimicrobial Activities of Derivatives of 3-Amino-2-methyl-quinazolin-4-(3H)-one| Chapter 10 | New Innovations in Chemistry and Biochemistry Vol.7

This work produced 3-amino-2-methyl-quinazolin-4-(3H)-one (1) by reacting N-acetyl anthranilic acid with acetic anhydride and then treating the combination with hydrazine hydrate in pyridine. When compound 1 is reacted with chloro acetyl chloride, it produces 3-chloroethanoylamino-2-methyl-quinazolin-4-(3H)-one(2). The final compounds 4a-g were produced by reacting the substituted derivative 2 with aliphatic and aromatic secondary amines. The structural…
