An “(R, R)-1,2-diphenylethylenediamine(DPEN) derivative” organic catalyst was formed as a chiral bifunctional organocatalyst and applied to transβ-nitroalkene compounds under neutral conditions for asymmetric Michael additions of aromatic ketones.
